Footitt has been named in a squad of 12 to play in three Tests at
Shenley, Scarborough and Headingley and is keen to make up for lost
time.
He said: "I was picked to tour India in the winter but my ankle injury
ruled me out. That was frustrating because I knew I could learn a lot
from playing in such different conditions.
"I took a lot from my Championship debut against Glamorgan, when I took
five wickets in the match, and I?m sure playing against Sri Lanka will
be another good challenge for me. I feel in good form and I?m ready to
take them on."
