The Director of Cricket joined in the celebrations after we beat Kent at Canterbury on Saturday night but has since begun to plan for next year.

He said: ?Very few teams have managed to win back-to-back Championships and that will be a huge challenge for everyone.

?We?ve got some good players in the squad who will create real competition for places next year and I?m not looking to let anyone go or to bring anyone in.

?Winning the Championship is a fantastic achievement but I?m more pleased for the team. As a coach you are living every ball and I feel real pride for all the players.

?Whenever we win a game my first feeling is of one of relief and the Kent game was no different. Winning a game as important as this makes everything the players have done worthwhile.?
