Youngsters Ian Saxelby and Nick Langford will have the chance to shine in the Second XI Trophy as Notts build a squad for the future, according to Assistant Manager Wayne Noon.
England Under-17s seamer Saxelby has completed his A-levels at Oakham School and will spend the rest of the summer with the Second XI, while 15-year-old Langford has already impressed with the bat after making his debut earlier this season.
Noon said: “While we qualified for the semi-finals of the Trophy in the last two years, this season may be a bit different as there are a few youngsters we are giving a go.
“Of course we’ll still be going out there to win but I’m looking more at the performances rather than the results.”
